Lenses are the most important equipment you can purchase. A good quality lens will help you to capture better quality images from your DSLR or ILC camera. I see a lot of people that go out and spend a ton of money on a great camera, then put a cheap, poor quality lens on it. Photogaphers are far better served if they buy a lesser expensive camera and spend the additional money on better lenses, especially since lenses can be used on future cameras as long as you stay within the same system.
