Below are some of our Wedding photography FAQ (frequently asked questions). If you have a question that isn’t answered here, please contact me.

Do you charge a fee for multiple locations?

  • I never charge a fee for multiple locations. Most weddings will have at least two or three locations that day and I plan to shoot at each one.

Do you relinquish copyright?

  • I retain the copyright, however, I provide you with a print release that gives you full permission to have prints made anywhere you choose, in any size you want without limitations.

What does “full day coverage” really mean?

  • It means exactly what it says. Most weddings tend to be an all day event and I will be there from before it begins to give me time to set up, until after the wedding party ends.

Do you shoot (religion) weddings?

  • I am happy to shoot any type of wedding. I will work with the person who will be officiating your wedding to ensure that I know their policies with regard to photographs and will follow those. For example, some venues do not allow flash photography, while others may not allow photography during the ceremony at all. This is completely up to the venue owner.

What kind of camera equipment do you use?

  • I use a variety of equipment including both film and digital systems. As I tell my photography students, it’s not the equipment that makes the photo.

Do we get high resolution images?

  • Yes, with the exception of cropping, you will receive the full resolution images.

How would you describe your photography style?

  • I primarily shoot a mix of traditional and photojournalist in style. I am happy to accommodate any requests you may have.

Can I give you a list of shots I would like?

  • Absolutely! In fact I request this from you so that I can ensure you will get all the shots you want.

Are you working another wedding the same day as mine?

  • Never! When you book me for your wedding day, you book me for the full day.

How will you be dressed?

  • I typically wear a dark suit, but if you have a preference I am happy to accommodate your request.

Will you be the actual photographer for my wedding?

  • Yes! When you hire me, you hire ME, not an associate or other person to shoot your wedding.

Is it OK if other people take pictures while you are working?

  • Yes, however, all I ask is that they wait until after I have gotten my shots to ensure you will be happy with the photos you hired me to take.  In the interest of time we may have to limit the amount of time they have available to shoot, but I will do everything I can to accommodate your guests.

Do you charge extra to stay if my wedding goes past the scheduled time?

  • Never! I am hired for the full day, there is not such thing as “overtime”.

Can I customize a package to fit my needs?

  • Yes, I am happy to work with you to ensure that you get exactly what you want.

Do you include engagements in your package?

  • Engagements are included in the Essence and Luxus packages.

Do you include bridals in your package?

  • Bridals are included in the Luxus package.

Can you provide a slide show of my engagements and bridals for the wedding day?

  • Yes, I will be happy to offer this service and it is included in the Luxus Package. I will need digital copies of any images you would like to include at least 3 weeks in advance of your wedding to ensure the quality of the presentation.

Can you provide a slide show of the wedding ceremony for the reception?

  • This will depend on the timing of the wedding and the reception. I am happy to discuss this option with you for your wedding.

How long after the wedding will I get my images?

  • I strive to provide you with your images within a week, but never more than two. Once the wedding is over I spend many hours going through the images processing each one by hand to ensure the quality of the images.

Do you have a second shooter?

  • A second shooter is available for an additional charge. please contact me for details.

Are you familiar with my wedding venue?

  • I am familiar with several venues, however, if I am not familiar with your venue I will visit the location prior to the wedding and meet with the venue owners/clergy/etc to get their rules and a feel for the location.

How much of a deposit do I need to pay to reserve my date?

  • Our contract requires a $150 non-refundable deposit to reserve your wedding date. This must be paid at least 1 month prior to your wedding. In the event of a cancellation, any monies paid over the $150 deposit will be refunded to you.

What is your refund/cancellation policy?

  • We understand that changes happen. We want to be as flexible as we can which is why we will refund all but the $150 non-refundable deposit in the event you need to cancel your wedding date. If you need to change the date and the new date is available we will be happy to apply your deposit to the new date. If the new date is not available, we will refund the amount paid over the $150 non-refundable deposit.
